KenyaHELP, INC. is now a registered 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization so your donations are tax-deductible.

Address:

KenyaHELP, INC.

3335 Langdon St

Green Bay, WI 54311

KenyaHELP, INC – "Non-Profit Status" As KenyaHELP looks to expand to support post secondary education, it will be necessary to raise more funds. In order to be eligible for “educationally focused grants”, we found it necessary to form a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. This past summer (2009), we received our tax exempt status which enables us to apply for grants and monies through foundations. The bottom line is that 100% of your donation will remain tax deductible. Please note the new KenyaHELP address for donations. Checks should be made out to KenyaHELP Inc.

2009 KenyaHELP Retreat in Meru, Kenya

Hi, Our team just got back in September 2009 from a trip to Kenya. We met with the 40 KenyaHELP students and graduates. The mission team had a wonderful 3 day retreat working on a leadership retreat with the "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" at the Thiiri Centre, just outside Meru, Kenya. We also met with the headmasters and did home visits, school visits and worked on service projects with the students. More information will be available in the upcoming newsletter.

Brat Fry Success!

Jambo to all of our Friends of KenyaHELP!

We want to thank everyone who helped make our Fund raising Brat and Burger Sale at Festival Foods (Green Bay East Side) a success today.

We had many friends who came to Festival specifically to support KenyaHELP - and we truly appreciate your patronage.

We were blessed today. The schedule for the sale is determined very early in the year - yet today - with a beautiful fall day and a late Packer Home game - we were able to raise just over $500. This is approximately the cost of supporting one student for a year at high school.

Special thanks to Paul M. for reserving Festival for us, Chris H. for coordinating, Dr. David M. for being the Chef, Pastors Sarah & Paul & Deacon Dave for publicizing the sale, and all of our wonderful volunteers today!

We hope to have more fundraising events yet this year, including Church Street at First United Methodist Church.

As we work to grow KenyaHELP, we are seeking a Fund raising Chairperson. If you - or anyone you know - has a passion for helping our students and an interest in Fund raising - please let any of the KH board members know!

Thanks again!
